Here is a contributing team members submission this time from Terri........

Terri Brown - Loved by you

Terri said, 'I used the blocking for the inspiration with some of the colours splashed through it'
This is a layout using a photo of Eric & I in New Hampshire...us being silly in the gazebo on the first day together, him laughing & me trying not too while I kissed his cheek. I used the WRMK Nonsense range that I picked up from New Hampshire while on vacation.

Hey Terri! What a great photo of you and Eric, it really makes me smile. The papers look great too and I love how you have brought it altogether with a bow.... Feel the lurrvve!!

Here is a monthly submission from Renae, one of the DT contributors.

Renae Deguara (DT member) - Bashful B'Day Beauty

Like many of the other gorgeous layouts this month I was totally inspired by the design and colours of this Warhol piece. I decided to keep with the blocks of the artwork and incorporate the colours into my Layout for a bright fun and funky scrap, which is how I view the painting.....BRIGHT, FUN AND FUNKY!!!

*************************

Beautiful Renea, you have really out down your self with this months take on the Warhol inspiration. I love the title and the colors you have used, I am sure this will inspire our followers to give this months challenge a go......... don't forget this months challenge will continue through August, so you have plenty of time to get your entries in.

Cheers
Shazza

This one is all the way from Canada!

Dinnae Galloway - growing up ... so fast

Here's what Dinnae said about her masterpiece.........I'm a multi-photo scrapper, so I decided to warhol-ise a series of pics I'd taken of Shan last week. I've been itching to do something like this for YEARS Shazza - so here was my "excuse" to bite the bullet and do it! I didn't do the full warhol-isation, as in, take out all of the shading, as I wanted to keep the features of Shan's face... but, I did cut out the background, used bright crazy colours... and well, had a stinkin' fun time doing it! I hope you like!

Ooh! Dinnae, I more than like it I think it looks super, you really got into this challenge. I'm glad you left in some shading I think you would of lost those goegeous facial expressions. Love the stitching too... Cheers Shazza

Thanks Michelle for your entry, it looks fabulous, I love the bold and bright.

Hi Everyone!

This is my first ever post to the ARTastic challenge site as the new operations manager !! lol

The bad news is that unfortunately Allison has stepped down from the running of this site but the good news is, the site will still be kept running on exactly the same concept that she set up in the first place. There will be a few minor changes, the first being that I have decided the 'Andy Warhol' inspiration will continue through til the end of August. At this stage there has been no entries received........ or has there! ...............better go check out my emails.

The month will also give me a chance to get my head around the site :) to contact DT members and tidy up a few loose ends.

So my scrappin friends, support me by becoming involved......... a layout on the 'Andy Warhol' inspiration would be a great way to start :)

C'mon ladies....... what better art work to gain inspiration from than "SHOES"....... and "Shoes" of all colors, designs, shapes and sizes lol

Cheers for now!
Shazza

Excuse us While we Change LOL

There will be a minor change to the running of the Blog. Unfortunately I am going to step down from the running and Shazza is going to step in and make sure that ARTastic is kept up to date and running smoothly. I know Shazza will do a wonderful job and that you will all welcome her :) The email for submissions has been updated on the Blog page for those of you that have layouts to send in for July.

A big hug and thankyou from me !!!! Thanks everyone for all your kindness and support!

More Warhol Inspiration

Some more arty goodness landing in the inbox today :)

Shazza "Your the Coolest"
My layout is titled "You're the coolest", I was inspired by the bright, funky colors and knew this would be the perfect project to use my "Lime Rickey" collection pack from Basic Grey. I matted the photo, and out lined it with small square blocks taking in to account the grids of bright colors.

And from Michelle
I love the "pop art" look of Andy Warhol's work, and of course the bright colours !
My LO, "Smile", is inspired by those colours. I also drew inspiration from the cartoon like drawings, and added the cute BG Lime Rickey bird sticker !

June Winner

Winner for June is Amanda with her layout "A Wrestle and a Hug" thanks for participating :) send along your details so I can send along your embellishment kit from Whats Old is New :)

July!!

Hopefully the cold nights will see you all inside rugged up and scrapping the nights away :)

The July Artist is Andy Warhol and the inspiration for your layouts will come from this sample some of his commercial art.

Lisa is going to kick us off with her layout titled "That Curl" She says I was inspired by the grid of colours and created my own version on the layout behind the photo using scraps of patterned paper.I also matted the photo in black, picking up on the narrow black gridlines between the blocks of colours.

Prize for the month of July is swatch book of princess rubons perfect for girls pages!

Finishing up For June

The final two layouts for June. The team and I will take a vote on all entries and the winner of the "Whats Old is New" pack announced on Monday. Thanks everyone for your wonderful entries and support of the Blog :)

Amanda
I took inspiration from the pic as in I have a pic of 3 of my sons wrestling and mucking about and the grungy colours in the pic.

Danielle

Here is my take on June's artisit. It is based on the first time my son rode his new motor bike. I loved the colours although I have slightly muted them on my lo but I loved the 'blocked' look which I have utilised on my page with the small photos on the right hand side.
